    Why Attend?

    Full Overview

With ongoing budget constraints and growing demands, public sector leaders around the world are under constant pressure to reduce inefficiencies. According to Global Government Forum research, over 90% of civil servants say they face a productivity challenge. Rapidly evolving AI-powered technologies, including GenAI, promise to transform the way government departments perform, from policymaking and procurement through to operations and service delivery. However, questions around costs and skills, as well as uncertainty about security, privacy and governance, are challenging efforts to unlock the value of AI and improve productivity. Increasingly, AI adoption and management is viewed by governments across the globe as a leadership responsibility and not just an IT concern. As public sector organisations work to develop their capabilities and consider where to prioritise resources, an understanding of the risks, benefits and governance of AI solutions is critical to success.

This panel on Maximising the Value of AI in the Public Sector, hosted by the Financial Times in partnership with SAS, is for department heads responsible for ensuring services are delivered to citizens in an efficient way. The discussion will consider solutions and opportunities to accelerate productivity gains and assess how to tackle the obstacles that AI presents.
